Sojourn's View

An idyllic village, driving up the main road it is very easy to miss the heart of this village. Built on two levels it is worth stopping for a few minuets, just to have a wander along the streets admiring the houses and views across the Weald. At the lower eastern end of the village a few hundred yards up a small lane you will find the remains of the Norman Keep of Sutton Valence Castle. This was a great surprise for me having lived in the area for some 18 years and I was not even aware of its existence.
